My name is Jaisri Davis and I hail from the small town of Dover, DE. In 2019, Health & Happiness was birthed from a place of longing for representation and advocacy. Being a young Black girl going to therapy for depression was difficult to talk about. I regained power after deciding to propose a mental health fair to my high school principal. These plans changed when Covid-19 arrived. Over time, the little fair would turn into a brand for advocacy.

Every post is another step toward ending the stigmas attached to mental health issues and seeking help. Going to therapy doesn't make you "crazy" or even mean that something is wrong. Health & Happiness is here to share resources, spread awareness, and help empower those who are ready to take the next step in their mental health care.
